Help us support our amazing beneficiaries

Twin Lakes Food Bank

The Twin Lakes Food Bank is a faith based, non-profit organization whose mission is to share God’s love by mobilizing the community to provide food and support to those in need in our community. Whether disadvantaged by unexpected and troubled times, or a family living day-to-day at or below the poverty level, the Twin Lakes Food Bank has opened its heart to thousands neighbors experiencing food insecurity since 1986.

The Twin Lakes Food Bank serves over 2,500 people a month living in the Folsom, Granite Bay and El Dorado Hills communities, and with inflation we have seen a 30% increase in need. We provide fresh and nutritious food to individuals and families, enough to make 20 meals a month for a family of four.

Last year we served over 21,000 individuals, over 25% served were children under the age of 18.

This August, our Back to School Event supplied over 400 school age children with a backpack, school supplies, a bag of healthy food, a Target gift card and dental supplies.

Over 400 Thanksgiving turkey meals will be distributed to local families in need this year.

 "Never In Our Town"

In 1988, the Folsom Athletic Association (FAA) created the Youth Financial Assistance Scholarship Program which strives to provide financial assistance for all Folsom youth residents desiring to participate in Community Youth Sports Leagues (CYSL) who could not otherwise participate due to financial restrictions.
The funds slogan "Never in Our Town," is the guiding philosophy of the fund.
The principal of the trust fund will never be touched, only the interest will be used to provide scholarships to children with financial need.

Folsom residents will be considered when they contact each community youth sports league directly for the application and return the form directly to the league of choice for guidelines and approval.
Get connected with these youth sports leagues at www.folsomathleticassociation.org

Folsom is home to an extensive and beautiful trail system. We are excited to have partnered with the City of Folsom to have use of the trails for the Folsom Turkey Trot. As a highlight of the 10k event, runners will take a route that includes a portion of the newly opened Johnny Cash Trail. The trail is named after Johnny Cash ahead of the 50th anniversary of the historic concert at Folsom Prison and will eventually include an installation of eight art pieces throughout the trail.  The Johnny Cash Trail is the latest addition to an extensive network of nearly 50 miles of trails throughout the region and this portion includes a 148-foot bridge across an area known as Robber’s Ravine. Our 10k participants will take in additional views of our beautiful city when crossing this new structure that sits 50 feet above the oak woodland. We are excited to take part in introducing this new trail to the community and to be providing additional financial support for the trail system.
